Collaborate with Business Leaders across New Relic's G&A function (including People Operations, Accounting, Legal, Finance, IT, Security, Procurement, and Business Applications) to manage their budgets and support their strategic projects
Partner with Accounting and Corporate FP&A to maintain all G&A-related financials for the month-end close processes, including headcount, operating expenses, capital expenses, variance analyses, and forecasting
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, analyze trends, drivers, variances and identify areas for improvement both from a business and financial perspective
Liaise with Recruiting to ensure key leaders' hiring plans are captured and the teams maintain fiscal responsibility throughout the hiring process
Proactively identify opportunities for financial process improvements
4+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analytics, public accounting or equivalent industry experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated skills in financial analysis, data flow analysis
Self-starter with a "can do" attitude who is comfortable asking questions and enjoys challenging the status-quo and problem-solving
Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in an unstructured environment
Attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision, with strong organizational skills
Skills in using both Excel and Google Suite
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Technology industry experience and exposure, preferably software
Experience in Anaplan or other financial planning software
Familiarity with NetSuite accounting system
Existing experience with business partnering
SQL or other basic query skills
