As part of theGas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world's energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Job Summary:

TFA Boiler will be executing highly technical services on various gas turbine models. The successful execution of these global services will require that the Engineer adhere to internal processes while being open to challenges that may arise. Engineers are accountable for the quality our customers feel when purchasing our services. Areas of customer quality include accurate/timely documentation, appropriate/timely installation of instrumentation, accurate collection of field data, various site activities, and communications. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review commercial guarantees, test expectations/requirements, and develop performance test procedures.
  • Prepare, plan, and execute thermal performance tests on gas turbines.
  • Analyze data, calculate test results, diagnose and evaluate testing issues and develop corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare test reports for internal and external distribution
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding testing activities, schedules, and technical issues
  • Identify and report in-field sales opportunities
  • Support continued development and improvement of performance tools/processes
  • Support new service development initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • If position is a people manager include, Manage and develop employees

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics and thermodynamic cycles as they relate to gas turbines.
  • Prior gas turbine testing experience
  • Successful completion of required training programs is a minimum requirement.
  • Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Training or proficiency in gas turbine and thermodynamics.
  • Qualified level. Has the knowledge and skill to actively support an outage and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise. Has experienced successful installations and outages.
  • Experience with modeling and analysis programs for gas turbines.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and PC software.
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English language.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $74,500 to $122,900. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
