Overview

IMTT Illinois is a specialty chemical storage facility seeking aspiring engineering/tech students to assist in the development and completion of P&ID and single-line diagrams for systems throughout the terminals. You will work closely with the engineering team to interpret and revise system drawings, tag system components, and assist with the daily project work of the department. You do not need to be pursuing specifically an engineering degree: all applicants pursuing degrees/certifications in related fields are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
    Reviewing and revising P&IDs and single-line diagrams.
  • Walking down systems and tagging system components.
  • Weekly reporting and review of progress to the engineering team.
  • Assisting the engineering team in miscellaneous engineering projects.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT's terminal locations. Company Reimbursed.
  • Proficient with Auto Cad.
  • Reliable transportation is needed to travel between the facilities - Mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Planning to be or currently enrolled in a STEM college program or similar tech program (engineering, manufacturing, drafting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, single-line diagrams.

Hours of Work:

Your work week will be Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm constituting a 40-hour work week.
