Job Description
Basic Function

This position will be responsible for working in assigned process unit role in and around the Facility that include but are not limited to: Renewable Diesel Unit, Hydrogen Plants, Boiler, Wastewater Treatment Plant and Tank Farm. Employee is expected to follow established procedures

Job Duties
  • Observation of control panels, conducting unit walk-throughs, spill cleanup, routine repairs to small bore piping, painting, and assisting other crafts as needed
  • Assisting and performing unit start-ups and shut downs
  • Coordinating work with outside contractors
  • Assist and Support Turnaround Maintenance Events
  • Using hand tools and other specialty tools
  • Pulling samples of product, identifying problems in operation, preparing work orders, getting worksites ready for repairs and overseeing the repairs
  • Operators must be able to work in areas of high elevation, cramped quarters, confined spaces and in awkward bodily positions
  • Physical abilities important to all Operators in the performance of usual and customary job duties include but are not limited to; walking, climbing, lifting, carrying and frequent operation of utility and process valves. Operators must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Operators must be able to work independently with no direct supervision. Performs other work, such as lubricating equipment, cleanup and housekeeping

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

None required.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Required Skills

Required to complete all required certifications and training to become competent in job duties under direct supervision while completing classroom and CBT training and expectations within a 90 day period. Basic ability to stay abreast of new technology developments and processes is essential. Basic reading and writing skills, strong analytical skills with ability to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products and ability to apply knowledge is required. Must have a valid driver's license

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

None required.

Work Conditions

Renewable refinery including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessel, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces and elevated surfaces. Subject to all temperatures and weather conditions. Able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be available to work a flexible schedule (e.g. overtime, weekends, holidays, and 12 hour rotating shifts). Must complete drug test, physical exam, and background check prior to starting employment. Must have the ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required. Participation in ongoing random drug screening program is required.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions may require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, climbing over 100ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required, wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted) and strenuous physical activity.
