Job Title: Facilities Manager & Social Services Assistant

FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Corps Officers

Schedule: FT, Varies
Supervises: N/A

Closing Date: 12/28/2023

Rate of Pay: $17-18/hour

Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

  • Sick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire)

Scope of Position:
Oversee the care, maintenance, and logistics of the Salvation Army Facilities related to The
Fort Collins Corps and Quarters. Assist with preparation for breakfast, stocking the pantry,
picking up food, and other items as needed. Assist with Christmas efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the care, maintenance, and logistics of Salvation Army Facilities.
2. Work with the corps officers, staff, volunteers and contractors to ensure the facilities and
equipment are kept in working and presentable condition.
3. Plan, manage, and implement the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facilities.
4. Must have excellent time management skills to ensure all projects and duties are completed
to satisfaction within the allotted weekly work schedule.
5. Assist with set up, tear down and clean up of events.
6. Maintain and implement a weekly facilities checklist to ensure the completion of the
checklist.
7. Create and maintain an inventory of all equipment and supplies relating to facility upkeep,
maintenance, and organization.
8. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
9. Bring to the attention of the corps officers any items out of the ordinary that may affect or
have impact on our ministries and daily operations.
10. Attend staff meetings.
11. Assist with Christmas efforts (Kettles, Angel Tree, Distribution)
12. Assist with the Back to School Carnival and Backpack Distribution and working with
volunteers.
13. Keep the food pantry and toiletry room organized and stocked and ensure that all areas are
in compliance with the Department of Health and fire department code and are ready for
yearly inspections.
14. Adheres to The Salvation Army's mission statement, policies, and procedures.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Corps Officers.

Qualifications: Education / Work Experience:
a. High School Diploma or equivalent
b. Understanding of the English Language
c. General Knowledge of property maintenance
d. 2 years of maintenance experience
