Overview

Does working alongside business intelligence professionals, creating positive change, and providing business insights sound exciting to you? Join a team that will leverage your report development and data storytelling experience to create Power BI reports to answer business questions and provide insights. Your talent and expertise in creating Power BI reports will be critical in supporting the business functions within Educational Services to continue building on our successes.

Responsibilities
    Collaborate with stakeholders across the division to understand business drivers, gaps, and issues to create relevant data strategies and BI capabilities
  • Lead user requirements gathering and translate them into specifications for business intelligence solutions and workflows
  • Deliver high-quality and timely dashboards, reports, visualizations, and self-service reporting capabilities using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder
  • Produce data flows diagrams, process models, and other technical documentation
  • Identify and develop key metrics that represent business performance
  • Create and execute queries for data
  • Undertake regular reviews to ensure report accuracy and run time efficiencies
  • Research and implement standards to ensure data integrity, efficient coding, data validation, product testing, clear documentation, and maintenance practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues; identify root cause and fixes
  • Collaborate with team members to provide end user documentation and training
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience using the Power BI Desktop
  • Highly proficient in developing complex reports and SQL queries
  • Ability to integrate data from multiple, disparate sources using SQL and Power BI Desktop
  • Proven experience working with snowflake and star schemas is key, as well as writing complex queries to build reports and dashboards
  • Possess an outstanding ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business and technology stakeholders
  • Demonstrate clarity, depth, and relevance when problem solving
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, as well as independently under own initiative
  • Good working knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's in information systems, computer science, or related field
Recommended Qualifications
  • Background in a software-oriented, technical support, or training environment
  • Practical project management experience

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800.00 - $135,200.00.00.
