Primary Purpose

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and strategically minded senior financial analyst to join our finance team. The senior financial analyst responsibilities include assisting with financial and planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. As a senior financial analyst, you will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes.

To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to perform variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned areas.
  • Support the company-wide annual planning process and subsequent monthly forecasting process.
  • Analyze and deliver budget/forecast variances and organizational impacts.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis of existing business or new opportunities and offers recommendations.
  • Work with finance operations on forecasting, pipeline management, metrics and other reporting requirements.
  • Identifies and tracks key indicators to monitor organization performance and prepare competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required
  • CFA / MBA or working toward completion is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as financial planning and analysis, cost control or related role
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (v/h-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, complex reporting and modeling)
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and related business systems - Deltek and MS Dynamics a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis- for project accounting and new business estimations
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement, inter-team communication skills and attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; proven ability to present information to all levels of management
  • Initiative with the commitment and ability to meet monthly closing and forecasting deadlines
